OK folks. My recent addiction to Enemy Territory has inspired me to start a newdoom based clan. I'm looking for people here to join up. While it may only be based here it could get a forum if it becomes popular enough (I hope). If it gets popular enough I'll expand into different games. I'm starting a server tommorrow to recruit people from outside the forums so I'm hoping to get more members that way. I'm aware there was a clan before this but I still think it can work if we try. I'm not looking for anyone special, as long as you can play the game you'll do. Specialisation and experience is of course useful. I'm on most of the time and can be found on the [LTC] server under Ninja_of_DooM. The address can be found on www.ltcclan.com under 10 map extreme. Just type the port address from there in at the server listing. So lock and load guys, the Ninja has a clan.:D

Hey Ninja! I guess it depends on how much the clan will meet, etc. i was in a clan before, for like two weeks, then it went under.

D2H and myself as well as a friend of ours play Enemy Territory almost daily. I dont think my friend is into clans though. Heh.

I like playing medic and engie.

We play a lot on a server called not-dsl (xp save, ff). You can find me under the same name as here and D2H is known as Master Shake. hehe.

yeah we play there alot, another alias i use, and prolly should jsut go back to is Disruptor, been that way since days of Quake II in 1997/98, i might be intrested in the clan thing, we are not too bad, usually have at least a 1:1 kill death ratio, and if we are really cooking sometimes 2:1 or better, i like being field ops, cover... aw hell i like all the roles, i usually jsut pick one that has the fewest meaning the team needs one more

and it is addicting especially when you get on an XP save server, you jsut wanna get that next star

Well I've decided to call the clan job off. It's too much bother to be honest. I've lost the whole thing overnight so I thinlk it would be best not to bother any longer. Thanks for the support folks but I just don't have long enough to make a proper clan.

it doesn't mean to say it can't be done. My heart just doesn't feel in it. If I could tet a server up that would be cool. But I really don't know what to do. I'll see about it. But until then we're not going anywhere.

It wouldnt necessarily have to be a 'clan' in every sense of the word. It could be just a group of people who play the game on the same servers, or something. No need for the formal 'clan' title.
I also dont think that Ill be downloading ET any time soon, as I dont have the time atm.

nonsense, the middle of the day for you is the middle of the night for us, all very perfect times of day on a weekend, were up (on normal weekends, none of this house/moving bs, lol) sometimes past 2am, playing wolfie or otherwise on fridays or saturdays. We need to find a decent server, that has good bandwidth so we dont all lag out to HECK from being 1000 miles from the darn thing one way or the other, and just have at it.

Yeah. I suppoes we can meet easily. I';m done with school now so I have all day to myself (until my parents tell me to get a part time job) until September.I know of a good UK based server. I don't know whether it'll help out terribly much thiugh but we can't exactly have a server in the middle of the atlantic ocean.:D
So the clan still goes ahead I suppose. I won't be playing at lunch today though. I've got an exam starts at 1 PM adn I need to be at school early.

Lol.OK then. Iori, get Download Accelarator. It allows you to resume downloads so you don't have to wait for the whole thing to complete. When I find time I'm going to go looking for people. I may be in with a chance of joining a top UK clan with any luck. They recruit by invitation only and I've been playing loads on their server so I'm in with a chance. I got some pointers that I need to improve SMG skills and work on Field Ops and then maybe I'd get in. Until then I'll just keep playing.:)

I see great things in this. I would love to join, and luckily I still have a mobo, a case, power supply, a HD and a GF2 so I can easily build a sever, i just need a memory stick. So if i can get that done i'll set up a dedicated:)

i still have SOME ram floating here, well i have no idea what box its in, how much and what kind do you need? i think all i have is pc100/133, maybe a couple stix of 32, a stick of 64, i'm not sure how much i have, if thats the kind you need i could try and find it and get you specifics

oh and btw, nice playing with you on that server ninja, its a little laggy for me to what i'm used to being far at 120 ping, i'm used to 30 - 50, but it was playable i wasnt getting packet loss or anything so it was at least solid 99% of the time

WAK, you live not far from the UK, I'm sure you could easily come on. D2H came on today and he had a ping of 120. You should be fine, if you have brodaband that is.

Yeah. I forgot who you were so I was like "who's this guy? How does he know me?" But good playing man.*thumbs* Pity you didn't hang around long. Although I got a bit pissed when someone from an elitist clan kicked me off his fireteam for no reason. I used to want to join them but I see they're all a bit big headed about their game. They take it too seriously IMO.

How fast is your PC nomad? I played ET on a 350. Granted, it was SLOW as shit to load, but I played. LOL. I don't even know what kind of graphic support I had in that PC either, I can't imagine it was that great.

But since it's dead, it's kinda pointless. Heh.

aw no way, theres always room for ET, that game blows all others away so far, i even play it over Far Cry or any of those new games, the game play is jsut THAT good. yeah we had a PII 350, with 128 MB of ram and a 16MB voodoo banshee (Diamond monster Fusion) card in it. Ran it pretty good once it loaded the map up, even though it needed to be on 640 x 480 and almost lowest everything graphic wise, but it definitly was playable. Just couldnt get on a server with too short of an inactivity drop, cuz it will drop you for inactivity even though your only loading the map.

well no one was on it, so i went to not-dsl, axis was SUCKING, i left out of boredom, so did goldy, we were on allies, allies won like 4 in a row, easily, like not even trying... ah well
