Well first of all there are sector actions to make color rooms and i would like to know which action is which color. I would also like to know how to make knife thingys fly out of walls

wow i better answer this before Kaiser gives you a bogus answer:p
ok, for the colored rooms, go to your doom64 root folder, then to absolution\bin\defs\doom64\colorrooms.ded
that colorrooms.ded has the actual # value of every colored light in the game. btw, if you don't know how to open a .ded file, just open it in wordpad.
as for the knife thing, all i know is that it is a XG script.

the value for the colored lighting goes in the place where the sector effects values go.
I looked at the XG files to get an idea on how to get the darts to work, but It looks like you would have to mess around with the files.
Hey, does anybody know if it would be possible to make dynamic texture lights for this TC? You know, the little lights that emit from textures at certain points.

Thanks puppet. now i know which colors are what tags. ill wait to see if anyone can find an easy way for the darts
Edit: Hmmm i may have found some scripts that do with the darts but im not sure. Meanwhile i need to know what the action: 1199 does.

last time Kaiser said anything about Doom 64 editing, he mentioned that he was considering making a hardcoded linetype for split doors and 3d sectors. if you ask him nicely he might consider making one for the knife traps.

What does hardcode mean? Please dont flame me about not knowing what it means, im pretty young really and im not an expert and computer talk. oh yeah and how do you make it so a door opens after you kill all the monsters or something like that

Hardcoded means that something is coded directly into the game, and is something that you cannot modify externally (by the use of other files).

Stored inside the EXE. Something that cant be modified without either modifying the source or using some sort of hack. I think kaiser wants to make the linetype part of the dll or something (I dont know much about the doomsday engine), so there wouldnt be excessive tinkering with self referencing sector problems. Or something.

please don't do that.
To make an event after a monster(s) is killed, you need to look at a xg file (mapxx.ded) and look at how it was done from there.

you should be able to do that with xg scripts.
go to doomsdayhq.com and go to the documents section
