View Full Version : "spframes NULL for sprite 27" crash

Two DoomLegacy 1.41 under Win2K are connected over UDP. Russian Doom1.wad is used as the only WAD file for both. Teamplay is started well, but then client or server is always crashed at some moment under unknown conditions with "spframes NULL for sprite 27" message (may be number may differ from time to time?). How to prevent this? What additional info I should deliver to here?

It's most likely to do with the Russian version of the wadfile. Do you have an English/US version around?
What is actually causing the problem in this case would seem to be something to do with missing frames.

This happens when a thing is placed on a map for which there are no sprites in the IWAD. As soon as the thing comes into view, you get that error message. Your IWAD obviously isn't the right one.
