jDoom Sound Problems

I recently upgraded my sound card to the Audigy2 ZS and my speakers to Altec Lansing 251s, and whenever I play jDoom, I get a loud crackling noise coming from my speakers. Ive tested my other games and they play fine with no crackling. Its most noticable whenever I pick up items such as spiritual armor or health bottles, or when firing a weapon. Does anybody know what might be causing this or how I might fix it? Im afraid to even play it cuz I dont want to mess up my new speakers with all this crackling :(

Make sure to disable the fmod library in kickstart, that should solve it (I have the same problem on my nForce 2 Motherboard, although only with Doom64 TC, and not jDoom.

With Doom 64 TC, I have to play with no sound, because I'm afraid that I'll wreck my speakers (They almost as much as my comp minus the Radeon and Hard Disk.)
