... or else he wouldn't preach global peace!

Today my latest order at Amazon arrived. Amongst those CDs was the new "Soulfly" album. The limited edition. In a digipack. Made of printed cardboard. And what happens with printed paper or cardboard when you stick an adhesive strip on it? Right, the print sticks on the adhesive strip, when you remove it!
Question: How many open sides does a digipack have? Yup, 3! So, the front and the back of the digipack were stuck together with 3 (!!!) adhesive strips!!! FUCK!!! *burn*
I really tried to remove the strips as slow and careful as possible, slower than I crawl out of the bed!!! But it didn't help. Now I have a brand new CD, which looks like it was bought in a 2nd-hand-shop... I just have to say it again: FUCK!!! *angry*

Yeesh! Same goes for price labels too. Most of the didgpacks I've bought in shops were wrapped in plastic saving me from that but that's annoying. I don't know what is worse, that or the fact that when I bought Kiling is My Business... remaster album it had a security strip in the box. I thought it'd be fine and I couldn't get at it as it was under the plastic piece that holds the CD. I went into town and as I usually have my CD player with me I had a couple of my own CDs in my bag. I went into a music store and as I went in the security gates went off. Not good and they asked if I'd been in any other shops which I hadn't. That was okay so I was okay when I left and later realised when I got back home it was the damn CD box with the security strip. Why did they need that when I mail ordered it? Anyway it is now removed and I have no such problems and keep an eye out for them.

I'd like to know why digipacks only come in those crappy paper cases. They should be in the same cases, but maybe the plastic should be a different color or something. Like Alice in Chains did with Tripod (yellow-green case), and Best of the Box (orange case).

The first cd from Soulfly came in a completely black box, including the normal booklet and the limited edition CD. But iw was a plastic box! Why didn't they keep that up?

I just got the remaster of Darkthrone's Transylvanian Hunger and there weren't any sticky bits anywhere on it. There wasn't even a booklet though, the lyrics were just printed on a fold out panel. I hate digipacks, the cases seem like such a pointless cop-out, it's not like they're really any cheaper to make than jewel cases.
