Hi folks,

I installed the JdoomRPv 1.01, as well as JDEP, and JUI. It plays fine on my machine, except randomly, it will just freeze, and lock up my whole computer, so i will always have to manually turn off my computer to re-boot. My computer specs are;

Compaq presario
amd duron processor 701 mhz
448 mb ram
Win Xp Pro (SP1)
NvidiaGeForce2 mx100/200 video card
sound blaster audigy sound card

, If anyone else has experienced these lock ups, or freezes, and might know a trick to how to fix them, please let me know.
Thanks in advance

kickstart?, that is the thing i use to launch doom from. I have the jdoom kickstart icon on my desktop, that launches the game, is that what you mean? I don't know how to mess with the other tabs in the kickstart interface, since i am very limited in knowing about graphics, and what those terms mean.

Yep, that is the kickstart.

Have you had this kind of problem before with other games and/or programs? You may have the same problem I have. If your computer doesn't get any cool air or gets full of dust it can get hot and lock up.

Hey Kaizen,,

i've never had that problem before with other games. Right now i am playing diablo2, and have been for about 4 yrs on this computer, as well as Return to Castle Wolfenstien, and sim city 3000, and i've never had any problems with those games. This is the first time i've run into this situation. Unfortunately, i have no knowledge about video cards, and tweaking/messing with them. All i know is that i have the most up to date drivers for this video card (Nvidia Geforce 2), i am thinking that maybe it is because i also installed the Jdep, and Jdui add on graphic things, and maybe that is causing a conflict somewhere. Maybe there is a way to check off certain options from the kickstart interface, like disabling certain things from there,, any suggestions?
thanks again for your help
