Ok a lot of you have been asking for this, so here it is a dedicated forum to Doomsday Mods, TCs, Game DLLs and WADs.
I'll be moving vatious threads in here but feel free to start your own if you are making/contributing to such expansions to the Doomsday community. There may also be some guidelines added to this sticky but we'll see how it goes.
Enjoy!!

Hello.
First I want to say Wow! It's amazing to see that people such as yourselves are so dedicated to these superb Id games.
For me Heretic was always a favourite. Now I have found jheretic I am playing it all over again, with the 3D models pack of course.
This brings me to my first question. 1) What software is used for model creation? Is it possible to use Spazz3D to create models to work in Heretic, Hexen and Doom?
My second question. 2) I have downloaded WinDeu as a level editor. Is this the best proggy? I would like to edit textures also. I am familiar with Macromedia Fireworks.
Any advice on Model creation and level/texture editing proggs would be much appreciated.
Last of all thanks again for such a brilliant engine to run the jdoom, jheretic and jhexen proggys and also the model and texture creators.
Regards

Thanks Anime Kid for your reply.
I did a search and found a link to Dr. Sleeps site. What a brilliant set of pages and so much info there. I did not start a new thread regards modeling software as it was more a request rather than a topic.
I did not have any luck in finding model software. I know of one called Milkshake? but as I understand it's a trial that lasts only 15 days.
Perhaps you would be kind enough to point me in the right direction. Thanks again and have a good day.
Regards

Free ? then GCC is what you want. It *may* be possible to build with mingw on windows, but it hasn't been tried AFAIK. IIRC MS Visual C is the compiler used for Windows, but that cost $$. Mac/Linux, GCC works well.

Simply put, no.
Do so and you will probably be banned.
A general observation, why can't people just wait until Beta6, or use say Beta4...

This is simple. Playing with these was my mood now, I modified them because of this. To share with you I wanted good intention, but if not, then not.
BTW i just asked first.
(Why let me wait for anything if not necessary? The life is too short:))
