Hi. My name is Joseph Delaney and I am pleased to bring to u the new project in the making called... 'Halo Doom". I have been hearing alot of people saying that they want Halo on doom so they can play each other. Well doing this lets people- including me- to play Halo. I am going to tell you all now that there is going to be alot of work and effort put into this project. It isn't going to be easy. Also since I just started the project i need to get a team together. I need a modeler for guns. vehicles. and enemies. i need a level editor program that can make 3d floors. I need alot of stuff. If you want to help out in any way then e-mail me with comments at Quakedude007@sbcglobal.net I thank bungie and friends for giving me this idea. I want to start on multiplayer levels first then ill go to singleplayer because of map sizes.
I hope this gets put down in the records as the best MOD for JDoom ever made.

Sorry, don't want to discourage you but you're not very precise...
I understand you are full of good ideas and you are vibrant.
Your project aims a very high goal (to be the best mod for Jdoom), i can understand that.
But, did you made a storyline, a prototype of level or enemies (text description at min., but screenies are best way to communicate on a project) or something which could formalize the project ? (web site with embryo of stuff for example) and ou need a 'leader' for this project , someone who has a solid general knowledge about MOD, to avoid error of this type 'i need a level editor program that can make 3d floors'.
I don't blame you but i think you must interest people to your project before saying 'i need'...
Else, if you need help about something i can, i'll be glad to help you in the limit of my knowledge... ;)

What's the point of playing Halo in a Doom engine. That's like making Doom 3 for Doom. WHy bother. What would be a better is to make something more original. Sure, base stuff off of Halo, but be original.

I really do have to suggest reading this article - it was written for Unreal but it applies just the same here as well:
