Above is a link to my list of links to all kinds of ports and resources for playing older games. It includes, but not limited to Quake, Quake2, Blood, Strife, Rise of the Triad, Doom, Doom 2, and many more.
There is also many links to utilities that can help run old games on XP. Check it out. It took a year to find all these links and I work hard to find more and to keep the links functional.
