Give us the before/after shots. Other than that, i like the second picture. I don't know why, but i like pictures like that.. straight vertical lines on photos are nice.

I've uploaded a couple I've taken today, http://sicklittlemonkey.deviantart.com/gallery/
Here's the unedited versions
http://www.perfectpixs.com/img/unedit1.jpg
Not much editing, made grey scale, altered contrast, remove litter, cropped.

Again not much editing, rotated to correct angle of shot, made half picture grayscale.

The edited second picture gets my vote. And it's actually much better compared to the original. I probably would have made that pole horizontal.. the one that holds this street light or what ever it is. Other than this, it's all well done. I suspected the wall was a bit too straight for the picture to be taken on a busy street without stative and all, seems like i was right. Rotating/aligning it was a good idea, this makes the picture a bit better.
I'm not going to comment on that other picture. While i see it looks quite ok, i can't say that it'd be something special for me to see. Nevertheless, show us if you have anything else in the future.. i'd be interested.

Yeah the second one gets my vote as well Al. Is it supposed to be just a black and white contrast? I think it would unbeleivably awesome if the grey side was a cloudy, maybe rainy day and the reflection was sunny. Cliche? maybe, but cool :D
