i've been messing around with photoshop more and more, and i've sotra gotten into making swords. the first one is really bad, but it was an experiment, but the second one, the Sword of Oceans, is really good for a second attempt! maybe i should do a series or something.

looks just like the render clouds filter to me. basically wut i did was render clouds, then render difference clouds a few times over it. then i used a lighting effects preset to give it the blue.

Yeah no problemo. Changed it to MasterOfPuppet's Art Thread. That last one looks pretty cool. I need to figure out the layer thinghy in Photoshop.

ahh, wut the hay, i'll post them. my friend asked me to help think up ideas for his band's logo, so i made these just now...

see, i showed him the pic i posted earlier, and he totally flipped for it ( :D ), asking if he could use it for his band and so forth. i refused, but offered to make him something else. he requested something "similiar". so by "similiar" i guess he means circular with un upward jut of some sort. i didn't really want to show them to anybody but him yet, but i figured it would help to get some more people's opinions on them. so please, tell me what you think, and anything i might be able to do to improve them or do a better job on next time.

Sorry, dont have the patience to read through this thread so sorry if someone already pointed it out.

My tip to give your pictures more depth is to use dodge and burn.
Dodge to make highligts (spots wher the lights hits/reflects).
Burn to make shadows and such.

They are pretty cool. *thumbs* I should get down to some drawing and stuff once my exams are over, I've been doing some stuff in between boughts of studying but nothing as yet finished and I need to practise more with my tablet for my computer coloured stuff.

I gave up on textures. *ugh* I just found it a bit difficult to make anything useable for games and even though I scaled up the tiles so it would be fine for me to work with until I finished and resized them so they'd be the right size for the game I still didn't do quite so well. I would need to practise making textures for a while and I'm still getting used to the tablet as I haven't used it in a few months until recently.
