Formatting USB Flash drive

My Usb Flash Drive/MP3 player is playing up, I was told to reformat it to fix the problem.

Anyone done this before, do I just use windows format or something else?

Just do a windows Format, Unless, the software that you installed with it (the Flash Card) has a way to format it.

Reformatted it still the same problem, must be goosed :(
