I was learning some GIMP's features and this random picture emerged in the process:

Nothing too fancy, but good enough to be worth looked at.. at least once.
Nevermind the stupid "voices".. that was part of the learning process too.

Gimps pretty good, I couldnt work out how to change the brush settings though. Everything else about it is top notch.

Yes. Everything on that picture is made/generated in GIMP.
(except for the obvious stolen characters and rocket sprite from Doom.)
I couldnt work out how to change the brush settings though.
That's actually quite easy. Go to "File -> Dialogs" and everything is right there.
I do have paintshop pro and adobe photoshop, but for some reason i like GIMP best. Haven't used other graphic programs since i got this one. Really nice piece of software.
