Dear Legacy,
I realy like you new Doom launcher. The GFX now rock! But to the point. I am E-mailing you to suggest a new kids version of Doom. It is called Chex Quest. You may have heard of it. In about 1995 or '96, a new CD-ROM came out in Chex cereal boxs. This game featured a kid's FPS. It operates on the same engine as Id's Doom. I have no clue if the developers had permission, or were Id programers. The 1st game seemed very thrown together. But it was smooth and instead of monsters, it had flemoids phlem-oids (i.e. greeen snot like creatures). The guns and bullets were replaced with zorchers, guns that shot a red bolt of energy to teleport the flemoids. It is very good story line, for 10 levels. I have used the Chex Quest 1 and 2 .WAD files. The blood still shows up in the Legacy modified game file. This is freeware. You were suposed to download the Chex Quest 2 from it's website. They started making a Chex Quest 3 when it disbanded. They are all avalible for download on abandonware sites. It is already compatible with the Legacy software, so very little programing . All that it needs is a little more compatibility on Legacy's side. The main pourpose of this game was to give kids a non-violent video game, no gore & or blood, so if you could include compatibility for the Chex Quest series, I will provide The .Wad files if you decide to do this, or a seperate launcher.
I will post this on your fourm as well. BTW you can include downloads for the Chex Quest 1-3 (3 is in its beta status) .WADs because it's freeware and abandonware.
