I'm been doing a bit of 3D mapping (finally!) but am having trouble remembering how to do the "deep water" effect. Could someone please explain it in plain English or point me to a good tutourial? Thanks.

Addition to above:
I also need some help with FS and Legacy coloured lighting as well. If it helps at all, I'm using the Legacy .wcf for WadAuthor...and No I WON'T use DEEP :p

Well, more legacy people read the 'Legacy' section hehe, but what specifically do you want help with?

Knowing my luck it would be moed back to editing if I posted it there :p
Anyways, I need to know how to create sectors with coloured lighting, and where to find the codes for the colours (Hex is not one of my stronger points) *bug*
I did find a FS tutorial and am currently reading it.

Creating coloured lighting is a simple process once you know how.

This is your colour chart. Paste these into the upper texture of the 282 linetype, and then add a letter from 'a' to 'z', for the intensity ('a' being none, and 'z' being completey coloured).

Firstly, Colormaps tutorial (http://legacy.newdoom.com/der/levels/legacy.shtml#colormaps) - you'll want the "in hardware mode" section.
Secondly, what do you need help with in FS specifically?
Finally, out of curiosity, are you using the Legacy configuration file I made? Otherwise, it may be a little more up to date than the one you are using (on the other hand, it may not).
//Edit: Heh, nice link Iori - hand't seen that before.

1.) Bookmarked it, thanks.
2.) Any and all...I don't know ANYTHING about it.
3.) I'm not sure who made the Legacy .wcf file I'm using...it contains all the commands except for the 'trigger all' command, and that it's for WadAuthor.

I got my legacy.wcf from Ebola's TLEP site, which AFAIK doesn't exist anymore. Is that the one you made?

Ok, Wadauthor doesn't have a way of adding the alltrigger flag to the config file.
So, to use it, you select the line you want, go to "Edit Raw Data" and then add 400 to the bitset. So, say you have a line which has the properties of being 2-sided, secret and always map you would change 0x0124 to 0x0524. Note that wadauthor deletes the 0x0400 value from the line if you edit the properties _another_ time after first adding it to the bitset. So do it once you have completely finished the line.
As for my config, I hadn't known about Ebola's one - it's quite possibly more comprehensive than mine. Nevertheless, if you want to back up your doom2.wcf and try it, it's here (http://www.geocities.com/toxic_fluff/downloads/wadadefs.zip) (right click and save as). Goddamn, I really need to get off my ass and move everything over to a better host.
