I Happened to be taking my card out of its respected slot (my wonderful 9600 Pro) and I started to sand the core down (to get rid of those machine marks and rough edges) and smoothed both the heatsink and the core down with a polishing wheel and plugged it back in, I noticed it didn't load with the drivers because the refresh was poor until I was loaded on the desktop and it loaded as a Radeon Mobility 9600. I reinstalled only for the same thing to happen, then I uninstalled and downloaded the latest omega drivers only for the same thing to happen! This is not a problem but is actually weird and cool at the same time. It never used to do this before and registered as a 9600 pro/ radeon 9600 series which ever it was. I dunno if I found something special but now I have mobile graphics in my computer! :D

P.S.
there was no performance dips everything is the same accept it wont let me touch smartgart but, thats the only thing I know of, some other options were enabled but nothing special. I will report back with my findings later if I find anything.

I plan on doing a search on any hardware mods that I hay have accidently done to the card, so far I dunno how I done it but, I guess it might be those omega drivers but, I doubt it who knows though. Any Suggestions or ideas or opinions?

yeah, I don't recommend it at all. I have no idea how it works, what I done to activate it nor how to disable it. It does not affect performance in any way that I noticed so its not a bad thing if done. I still haven't changed it nor do I plan on it in the early future, if I find anything else out I'll be sure to post it.

I believe this to be a driver issue. I am currently using Omega drivers. I cna most likely change this back, all that happened was a name change, nothing else..
