Well, it's been in development on and off for a good while, so if you're interested, it can be downloaded here (http://www.mancubus.net/files/doomwads/pointofnoreturn.zip). Take my objective word for it, this is a worthwhile download!

And now I only need to find out how to play Pwads with zDoom... Hold on!

I got it working somehow. I dragged the wad file to the zDoom.exe. I don't think that's the right way to open pwads with zDoom...

Now after I've tried it for couple of minutes I can really recommend this one! It has almost unique dark atmosphere and spooky hallways. New sounds give some element of suprise to the enemy since you can't really say what monster you are facing because of the familiar sound. Highly recommended. Though I must say one tiny minus, there was one untextured wall in the start that looks like when you're inside wall using noclip and turning around. It was really small though, and it's like "inside" one door. Next to it, kinda. But as I said before, this doesn't matter almost anything. just noticed it during gameplay.

I must say that this one's great!

Despite not being the most obvious (and perhaps logically correct) placing, you'll get the thread seen by more people that way.

Are you sure about it? Since I don't edit maps for DooM, I don't visit the editing forum too often. But here in basic DooM forum I try to visit every day! So I don't mind about maps that are posted in here. I would like to see more of them. Perhaps make a topic where people could post their (good) maps.

BTW I would really like to hear the "official" way to open pwads in zDoom.

There is more activity in the editing forum though. And drag and drop wad/deh support is a deliberate Zdoom feature, you loaded the wad in absolutely the right way.

Ok then, thanks.

First time I played this (on hurt me plenty, I took easier difficulty as the editor wish was) I got to the room right after the blue door. Then I met a horrible death...

The almost fully invisible demons are something that make you jump few meters high and keep you awake in the night when you play this.

An excellent map. I highly recommend it. It has a great spooking atmosphere and shows that an army of demons isn't necessary to make a map challenging.

If I was to nitpick, I'd say theres a tad to much ammo in the last area. Also the textures on the side of the stairs leading to the walkway in the same area were slightly misaligned.

But there only minor things, Excellent work *thumbs*

Hey, no offense, but there is absolutle no need to bumb thread as this one, just because you wanted to say "nice map!". Please, don't do that in the future.

To run custom wads with ZDoom, create a shortcut, and edit the command line box with -file xxxxx.wad (where xxxxx is the name of the wad) after all the jargon thats in there. This works just like the original Doom in Dos, where you had to use the -file option on the command line.

Happy ZDooming!

BTW, dragging the wadfile onto the exe? This must be a shortcut of some sort, I will try this with my shortcut method, it may save me some time...

Under Win98, I could customise my Start menu easily, C:\Windows\Start Menu, then move/change folders/shortcuts. Does anyone know how to do this under XP? 'cus my programs menu is 'uge.

BTW I would really like to hear the "official" way to open pwads in zDoom.

I usually just make a .bat file with the command line:
-(insert exe here) -file (insert wads here) -deh (insert dehackeds here)
