Okay, we went out and bought a wireless router (D-Link AirPlus Extreme G DI-624) and card for our lappy yesterday. Duh... even D2H, being the computer dork, didn't think about our cordless phone interfering with the router.

Well it does. They are both 2.4 Ghz frequency. Ugh! So everytime I call someone or someone calls here, the internet goes kaput. The "network cable has come unplugged" or whatever it says bubble comes up every 20-30 seconds, even on our desktops which are wired into the router. (btw, I figured this out on my own, D2H is at work, so he doesn't know yet. I was just sitting here at my computer desk and went to make a phone call, and watched the bubble pop up, while I was on the phone. After I hung up, it was gone. Tried it again, and yep, same thing. so it's definitely the phone)

Anything we can do to fix this? I've tried changing channels on the cordless phone, while talking, but it still does it.

I was just thinking of taking it back and going back to our old wired linksys router. I mean if we can't be on the internet while the phone is being used, I want my $160 back! :p

If you played with the channels then your left with 2 options.
1.)Get a 900mhz phone
2.)Go 802.11a

Well we're definitely not going back to a 900 mhz phone. We got a great deal on our 2.4 ghz set. Two hand sets, two charges, the largest charger being an answering machine and a speakerphone too. It was regular price for $120 and was sitting above a sale sticker of $62, so we got it for half price because it was sitting on the wrong shelf. (the sale sticker was for the model down)

Definitely not buying an 802.11a either, so heh. Guess this puppy is gonna go back to the store, and we will be going back to the Linksys. Ah well no biggie, the Linksys never gave us any problems, we were just trying to upgrade so our lappy could be wire free. Ill just buy a DVD burner with the money instead, heh.
