I have started a band. I had one going for a while, but then some members left. We are doing some jamming sessions at the moment. There is nothing on us yet, so don't ask about it. I just want some input on what you think we will be like. Here is some info on the band.
We are called Point of distinction.
There are six members, 2 vocalists, 2 guitarists, 1 drummer, 1 bassist.
We have about 2 songs finished at the moment, and another six on the plates.
we sound like a mixture of the Deftones, Sikth and machinehead.
So, what kind of thing would you like to hear from this up and coming new band?

Oh that's cool! :D Despite two and a half years of being in a band society I haven't actually been able to form a band! *bug* Mainly because of what I play and that I've been told I'm too much of a perfectionist. (What is so wrong with wanting to be good guitarist who can play properly and study a bit of music theory?) Machine Head is good and I do like some of the other bands but haven't really heard Sikths music.

Sikth are very random. They have two vocalists and the vocals seem to pass between them like a game of ping pong. Being a perfectionist isn't necesarilly a bad thing. You work hard at what you like, and one day you will be appreciated for what you are good at.

Tour Dates, Album Releases, maybe some Mp3s. Good luck with your band and I hope you become as big or bigger than Metallica and others like that.
I have a 2 piece band at the mo with me - the guitarist (in training) and a Drummer (in training). Looking at rounding up a couple more members.

Yeah, you might need a few more, unless you intend to be the new white stripes.*bug*

You may need to find session musicians though... That can be awkward when it comes to linearity of sound.
