By finish I assume you mean an exit? This is a linedef attribute. Select a line and then properties, select action and then exit.

A box is a sector with a higher floor-height than the surrounding sector. You then place, for example, a crate texture on all 4 lower sides, and one of the cratetop flats on the floor of this sector.
