Risen3D Help?

I got it installed and everything, but when I try to launch an IWAD, Windows tells me it has encountered an error and needs to shut down, followed by asking me to send an error report or not. :(

I've tried several different ways to install it, but I still get the same error massage. :(

If anybody could walk me through it, I'd really appreciate it. If you guys have to explain it to me as if I were mentally handicapped, I don't mind. I just want it to run. :(

I never installed Risen3d so I dunno whats going on. Maybe it doesn't like where you have your iwads?

The Risen3D readme's are quite instructive. Assuming you have the launcher, and R3Dlauncher.exe is in C:\Risen3D\ and your IWADS in C:\Risen3D\Data\ folder and you check base games in the launcher , then all should be fine. Remember also that Risen3D is ONLY for Doom type games NOT Heretic or Hexen. *book*

I did exacty as you said, but when I clicked on an IWAD to play, it did the exact same thing as before.:(

EDIT: The only I can get anything to run is by using the Rised3D.exe file in the C:\Risen3D\bin\ folder, but it's windowed, and I can't disable the mouse or play it full screen.:(

i keep the IWADS (Doom,DoomII,) in C:\Risen3d, it seems the Launcher automatically sees them there. also if your not familiar how to install pwads to a directory, then install a zipped pwad into the archive folder, right click it(in the laucher) and select UNZIP TO UDIR-AUTO LOADER.hope this solves your problem

It's doing the same thing. It doesn't matter where I put the IWADS, when I click on an IWAD in the Launcher, that error message pops up. :(

I'm putting my IWADS in compliant folders. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.:(

the only time that happened to me. is when the IWADs (doom,doom2) wads got corrupted somehow, so i copied and pasted the iwads from the Doom,Doom2 cd's again and ther error stopped!....

hmm, go to the Risen3d website, should be an email addy to send a problem report, first you need to ZIP up the OUTFILE in the risen3d main directory, then attach it to the mail. hopefully Graham can figure it out.

Sounds daft but it might be a virus! I had the same thing happen to me and i checked me HD and found a virus.
