How scary do you think Doom 3 will be?

Since it was lost with the incident a whie ago, I thought I would create it again. How scary do you think Doom 3 will be? this time it's only a scale of 1-5, as I'm to lazy to make 10 slots.

As before, please support your oppinion on why you think the game will be scary/not scary. If you want to give a decimal answer, feel free to round up or down, whichever your choosing is.

I give a 4.5, as I never give perfect scores. Why? There will ALWAYS be a chance that a newer game will be scarier, and since the perfect score means NOTHING comes near it, my score stands. And of course, I'm going to have to round up. :D

I say five. There may be even scarier games in the future, but at least Doom2's gonna be one of the scariest games up till date.

Nothing made me shit my pants more in the original Doom then the first time I heard those zombies and seargeants, then the next incidient was the first time making it to the Barons in E1M8. Mind you having the speakers up plays a huge part.

As for Doom3, in one for the trailors, it looked pretty feaky with the way the light was swaying across this demon. Now you see him, now you dont... and going by the first Doom1/2... Id be expecting monsters to pop out of no where again... to me that was its most noticeable trademark, they were really good at using that element of surprise the scare the living crap out of you.

i gave it a 5 because i'm pretty sure it'll be pretty damn freaky. Having to walk through some pitch black rooms with only a flashlight out and no weapon will surely freak anybody out, espceially when an imp jumps out at you and having to hurry up and switch weapons and knowing that the only weapon you can switch to doesn't have a flashlight attached and you have to kill the little bastard in pitch black ;) Gonna be awesome.

i can't really say whether it will be scary for me b/c being a huge fan of the horror genre i don't get scared that easily. well i wasn't scared of the footage in the trailers anyway. i will actually have to play it before i can decide whether it will be scary or not.

The trailers are just supposed to have action. Would you look through a trailer that lasts for 5 minutes and you meet only couple of monsters in it? Probably yes, but it would take too much time in the video to create the atmosphere, and that would make one HUUUGE trailer.

If it causes nightmares, I mean truly frighting nightmares, It would be more than 5.

Undying has been the only game I have played that was 5 most were a 4 or lower

Undying was a great game. I wasn't expecting any less from Clive Barker (creator of the Hellraiser series for anybody who's not familiar)

Undying is the only other game besides the original doom game to actually make me jump in the chair a little. I'm hoping doom3 can change that.
