Who's Your Favourite DOOM Enemy?

Who's your favourite DOOM baddie? Mine have to be the Baron of Hell and the Cyberdemon. The Baron because he looks and sounds cool, and the Cyberdemon because he kicks so much ass. :D The Archvile is my least favourite. I don't appreciate having my hard work undone. And I hate flying through the air with the greatest of ease.

Revenant, for sure. I don't really know why though. I just like the satisfaction you get when you kill it.

Ooh, easily the pinky demon. It's design in the old Dooms was boring, but it's attitude of charging at you "drooling" awesome and fun. ;) *cool*

Baron, Cyberdemon and the Arch Vile for me. I still remember my first encounter with a baron on E1M8, Doom SW - I had never heard an enemy sound quite as awesome as the Baron's roar before, and I still haven't since.

I don't like being burnt and thrown, but it's an interesting style of attack - the only of it's type in Doom. I like the strategy that avoiding the fire adds, and the resurrection is good IMO, because again, you have to play tactically to stop an archy.

I don't play tactically. I plaster that S.O.B. to next Sunday with my good ol' BFG. People say it's slow. Tanks are slow, and they kick serious @$$! :D

Personally, I find none of the Doom enemies really that annoying. As long as they don't come in friggin' large groups *cough* Dark Dome *cough*

I think the Baron sticks out because he's very powerful and frightening, without immediately getting too "overkill", like the Cyber- and Spider Demon. He's simply the strongest of the "normal-sized" enemies.

Plus I think he has the coolest war cry. It always gets me on my toes when I hear that *sick*

I agree, I like fighting all the enemies and they really don't bother me none. Except in large groups like 50-100 or something like that.

I'd say the Barron. Though not the most challenging or fun to battle, I think he looks and sounds the most suitably demonic of them all.

SPIDERMASTER MIND.... he rocks, I love that high pitched whine he lets off whens hes spotted you. Cybo sounds awesome too, cant get passed that deep roar when hes just wasted an insolent demon for letting its fire stray into his path. Baron is also a tough nut, hed come in third.
As for monsters I hate, ARCH VILE becuase hes such a tough mother to beat, then the Revenant..... nothing is more annoying then seeing that rocket you just dodged curling its way back around again.

In a one on one fight no other monster can stand up to the Cyberdemon, unless the SpiderMasterMind gets into close range then Cybo is wasted. :)

Pitting the monsters against each other has to be the next best thing to actually wasting them yourself.

Cyberdemon is my choice of an enemy.
I like to shoot him and watch him die and stuff and BEST of all is he is big and Dumb!!:p.....like me(well the dumb part;))

My absolute favourite is revenant. He has pretty cool look and I just LOVE play with one of them. Wait till he shoots his missile, wait till the missile gets close, and then dodge it with a beatiful sidestep! Nothing is more satisfying! One minus though... If you move while the revenant shoots his missile, it sometimes becomes normal unguided rocket :(

BTW standing in the middle of circling missile is great fun, i like to imagine it as a defensive probe when it goes around and around you ;)

I wish the characters could be a little more unique. For example the Baron from Hell is the same as the Hell Knight. Both of them should have their own moves. Just my opinion.
