I just got this game. What can I say, It Sucks worse than a $2 whore! Nice scenary, but the user interface is the wost piece of crap I have ever seen in a game. I give it a -1 for the user interface. I give the graphics a 10. I haven't even made it past the first fight. I pratcice and things work fine, I walk up to the trainer to fight and nothing works. The player just stands there. ARRRRRGGGGGG I only recomend this game if you want to frustrate yourself to the point of screaming.

Doesn't sound like my idea of fun, I'll stick to DOOM & Hexen, If I ever get the hardware, I'll try my copy of Morrowind.

I agree 100%! I think they put so much into the Graphics that the user interface was an after thought.

CG yes stick to something else. This POTC is not worth the 20$. It is hard to believe that the same people did this game that did Morrowind, Morrowind is so much better.

How much time did they spend on that game? Morrowind took years to develop. POTC I didn't even hear about until the same year they released it.

It was origianly "Sea Dogs II" so I'm not sure.

I hate games that have shit controls. Whatever you do don't ever buy Gothic or Gothic II because the controls are complete crap. *burn*

I agree, Crappy contols just suck.

There are 4 setups for the controls:
Sailing (1st person)
Sailing (3rd person)
Land (1st/3rd person)
Battle (1st/3rd person)
They are all inter locked so when you change 1 setting it cahanges in all 4. Bad part is, it semms to confuse the game when you change any of them, so your stuck with what they want you have.

That sounds like the worse setup ever. Bleagh. Id like to know why in this day and age game developers fail it with the interface and controls when these things have been PERFECTED already.

What pisses me off, is when console fps have the wrong control setups. An example being fur fighters. Terrible controls.

Yes it is. I would like to know the answer to that myself. It amazes me that Morrowinds interface was the best I had seen. This one, for POTC, on the other hand is the worst.

The other sucky thing is when they port a console game to PC and DON'T change the control system like they did with Soul Reaver. I can't play this damned game with a keyboard and mouse setup.... even if I had an xtra set of hands it wouldn't be a help.

Luckly My Dad had picked it up, I didn't have to pay for it. I would go out and buy my own copy, if it was any good. But I don't recomend wasting the money.

I had already heard reviews that slammed it because it didn't follow the movie at all. :p hahahahahahahahaha They didn't say anything about how bad the controls were. *crazy*

Yeap and it does seem they released it ASAP because of the movie release but I'm not sure how close the two were released.
