Excitebike, back on the old NES. Oh man, I loved that game. And when you think about it, it was the first "extreme" sports title ever. It even had a "park" editor. Eat that, Tony Hawk. *cool*

Pong. I played pong on a console-like jobby one of my brothers got someplace. heh Then I think Pac-Man on this hand held type thing that was designed to look like an arcade machine. I played the crap out of it then loaned it and never got it back. hah dirty bastard, no return stuff, scum-chicken.

i have an original pong system, one of the first releases, my grandfather bought it, and showed my dad what was going on, and my dad couldn't grasp that he was interacting with the tv. the system is about as wide as a ps1, but it's about 6 inches deep, and runs on 4 or 6 (can't remember right off the top of my head) D batteries. the controllers are hardwired to the system, and they are paddle-like dealies with a dial...fun
the first game i can remember playing would have to be either some dentist game where you were a tube of toothpaste and you had to shoot the various food items before they touched your teeth (basically missle command, but with food, my dad is a dentist), or possibly star fox for the atari 2600, but that cartridge is broken now :(

I got all 5 crystals, then died just as I got to the palace. That was as far as I ever got, though admittedly I was only 6 at the time.
I think to this day, Citadel remains one of the hardest games ever made.

Teenage mutant hero turtles on the nes. From there I semed to work backwards on the consoles. I spent most of my childhood spanking my pocket money on the arcade machines, ahhhh precious memories, still haven't worked out who 'ace' is. He held the number one spot on all machines everywhere.

I remember playing Mario 1 on some old machine. I don't think in was an NES. And I had Duck Hunt too.

Might have been an atari. Mario first appeared in donkey kong, under the very technical name of jump man.

I think I was 13-14 when I completed Citadel :D
Get a BBC emulator and you can finish it off now, lol.

I had an old spectrum ZX2. Ever program a game onto those things? It took me six hours of typing to create a slot machine game. Waste of time.

i remember the time i went to buy mortal kombat 2 on the day it was released. i went to k-mart, and because i wasn't 17, they wouldn't sell it to me, so i turned right around to my dad, handed him the money, and he bought it for me lol, stupid k-mart, no wonder we don't have one around here anymore

I remember playing some games on the old Commodore 64. Don't even know the names of those games anymore. You also had to load those using tapes :D.
A few years later I got my first GameBoy with Tetris and later Mario Land.

I used my C64 for many years and I HATED the tape drive because it took soo long then a lot of times it would choke with a syntax error. Luckily most of my Commodore stuff was on floppy and I had one of them chunky, noisy Commodore floppy drives that ate floppys if the power went off. *alien*
[edit] Actually it was when the power came back on and the drive repowered that it would damage disks. heh There was a few times I was away from the C64 and the power went off and I had to make a run for it to get the disk out before the power came on. Bwahahahahahahahaha. Then I clued in to making copies of anything decent. ;)
[edit2] LOL@Looney waiting in line to play Pong! LOL *bliss*

Mine was Kong-Fu on Nintendo videosystem (the game where karate guy walks and kicks ass, after killing the boss advances up one floor at the building).
I think the second was Super Mario Brothers on that same system

Oh my...it's hard to remember back to when I was three or four. But I want to say something like Tombstone City on my TI-99/4A or something on my 7800 like PitFall or Robotron, or possibly Pole Position II.
