If you mean the progress then mine went straight from 100% to 0 cos I really hated that map. It looked sooo shitty. But it's at roughly 15-10% done now.
I'm temporarilly on mapping leave until DeePsea arrives or if another van with "vertex" written on the side drives past me downtown again. That's how I satrted mapping again. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

Suffice to say I won't be doing any doom crap tonight and I can't consintrate long enough to do a update.
Well at least I don't have a kidney stone. Ugh!

Here's a few screens from map10 (still don't have a name for it). Yeah, it's a dark map, and it looks pretty different from other stuff. I'm not posting the images directly cause they're kinda big and I don't want to waste my account bandwidth at lycos anyway.
A room near the start (http://members.lycos.co.uk/aliotroph/NDCP/DOOM011.jpg)
This place will be damn scary. (http://members.lycos.co.uk/aliotroph/NDCP/DOOM003.jpg)
Overlooking a big computer maze. (http://members.lycos.co.uk/aliotroph/NDCP/DOOM005.jpg)
A crate maze (with DD's textures). (http://members.lycos.co.uk/aliotroph/NDCP/DOOM008.jpg)
Little backroom place (http://members.lycos.co.uk/aliotroph/NDCP/DOOM009.jpg)
Near the red key (http://members.lycos.co.uk/aliotroph/NDCP/DOOM010.jpg)
Now if only I could figure out the layout for the rest of this map I could finish it in a real hurry since I know what I want for most of the monsters and stuff.

Nice screenies there Aliotroph? (Exl makes a mental note to add more detail to his map)
But I honestly can't see a thing in that 'This place will be scary' pic. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm3.gif

Well I said I would start if I saw another van with vertex written on it and low and behold, I saw one today while on the bus. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif Looks like I'm back to editing early. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm1.gif

It's harder to see the that screen if it's surrounded by a white browser border because your eyes aren't adjusted properly to it. The light level in there is 80. I can see it just fine in the game with my monitor brightness down and the gamma off and I'm half blind so it shouldn't be a problem unless you have a really really dark video card. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif There's a rather visible texture misalignment in that pic actually.
EDIT: Those screens are damn hard to see on this computer. I'll make a note to test them on this computer since I think the problem is mostly caused by glare on the screen from other apps. Of course, it looks quite a bit different in software mode. The close areas are brighter and the far ones are darker still (and the colours are badly distorted cause software sucks for dark areas).

Yeah, I'm going to test that on a few different boxes this weekend and come up with the best compromise. I noticed it was a bit harder to see on my laptop where the backlight glare from the LCD washes out certain colours more.

well im sure that most people dont have a laptop to just play doom on, and that means that any dark games would have the same effect on laptops so Methinks that you dont have to worry. Anyways people can just hit f11 to up the gamma.

That's looking good Alio. I LOVE that tech chasm ("This place will be damn scary" pic). I just love the tech texture theme of the map. Good stuff, I look forward to this. Really atmospheric looking.

Finished my map12: http://koti.phnet.fi/repoes/infested.zip
It has all needed textures with it, and I included those that are not in the newdtex.wad as .bmps.
Yeah it has a name now: Infested.
The .zip has the usual password.
