Hmm... UT2k3 seems exactly the same as UT to me (apart from bombing run obviously) - slow clumsy movement and headshots that are too easy to achieve, although at least the lightning gun is weaker overall than the old sniper rifle.

I still occasionally play the first UT though, but only really as a fuckaround thing with the strangelove mod (the one where you can ride the redeemer rocket).

I did really like it at first, because there was more variety than the other multiplayer games I had, but then I stopped getting any better skill-wise because there wasn't as much to master as in Q3.

im getting ut2k3 soon, but i re-installed UT again, and all the bonus packs, i found maps that i hadnt played before and started editing for it. I used to HATE domination, but now its fun to play esp on godlike. I can only flay with bots for now though http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm23.gif but the game blows away q3 in gameplay and the flexibility of the engine.

Legacy needs UT skyboxes!!!

Heh, there's not enough to really master in UT though. If you watch some Q3 demos, you can see the amount of tricks there is to learn.... whereas in UT all you really have in terms of advanced movement is Impact jumping. And people do the constant translocate thing in online CTF games which gets fucking annoying.

I hate all those tricks because guys are all doing this weird shit and you have no idea wtf they're doing or how it's done.

I just downloaded that apparently awesome single player mod as well, Operation Na pali - don't confuse with the addon pack, return to na pali - and I can't even PLAY it.

heh heh i backed up my cd's as soon as i got the game! CD2 is useless though, Unless you have an s3 card It also contains unrealed 1.0 but that sucks
