Bungie, developer of the Xbox launch hit Halo, has a message posted on its official web site confirming Halo 2 for Xbox will not be released in 2003. The company is known for taking its time with software and cited the need for extra development time for this delay.
The partially completed game will still be on display at E3 this May, and the PC and Mac versions of the first Halo are still scheduled for release this year.

Bah, X-Box... I'll bet Halo was originally going to be for PC, before Gay-Box came out..

Actually, it was.
I have a PCGamer CD that has a Pre X-box PC Halo movie on it.

So essentially, if we ever meet some of those M$ fools in a dark alley, we should beat the living shit out of them and run off with their wallets for causing such treachery. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif

However, this is not the case with TED's fill routine. This slow, stupid algorithm will casually fill one plane of data in a painfully creeping manner. Press ESC when it gets confused." - John Romero on TED (Tile EDitor)

I have that old mag Demo of PC Halo as well, I waited forever for that game, which was let me tell you VERY MUCH worth the wait. I am sad about the delay, but then again, a delay can only make the game better! Best FPS I have EVER played I swear! I seriously feel that the sequal has the potential to put Grand Theft Auto to shame.

YES IT WAS!! I also have the 150meg, ten minute movie of halo for the pc, and then you think how much effort does it take to port something to the EK$ BAWK$. Me myself i like the ps2 some and the gamecube more (sooo powerful). EK$ BAWK$ can blow it out their ear

Only diff is XBOX uses XBE's instead of EXE's what ever the diff is there. As far as specs go, it truely is the best thing on the market, game Cube coming in second, Sony 2, DEAD LAST. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif
I hate to give M$ props, but this time it is well deserved, they just need to allow Keyboard and Mouse support for games like the PS2 does, since infact the XBOX has 4 USB ports on it, they just have different connectors, but that is what they are.

The connector is slighty bigger to allow more power for the rumble feature. The only prob with the X-Box is the fact that its using a crappy x86 processor, but its a lot easier to program than Sony's EE. And the GS has the features of a TNT2 with a fillrate of 2.4gigapixels/texels that is near impossible to reach due to its crappy RDRAM setup. Its the fanboys that keep the PS2 alive. The PS3 looks promising but Sony wants to make it a multi-purpose machine.
