It is almost complete...
...at the moment it only supports the Shareware files that come with it, the controls are a bit off at the moment for the joypad, as for keyboard and mouse, you can not lool left and right with the mouse yet, or at least not with my third party PC mouse adaptor, and I think that is really about all. None the less it is a wonderful port, which with a little more work could be PERFECT!

I hate RoTT, just a revamped Wolf3d engine with nearly no non-square maps like wolf's is http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm10.gif

And the first CTF, the first fps game with a vast amount of different multiplayer types.
Realistic things like gas and the fact that you can carry only one heavy weapon at a time.
Fun things like flying eyeballs and powerups.
Crazy things like moving walls and actual jumping/standing on things.
Better than the doom engine in MANY ways.

I'm with pickle on this one.
ROTT has an established place in the timeline of video games.
It didn't sell as well as Apogee had hoped; it wasn't a DOOM killer, but after all this time, we now know nothing is.
For its time, the game was innovative on an astonishing level, which makes it so highly regarded to many FPS afficionados.
That, and it was just plain fun http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

Some of the levels had great atmosphere with nice skies and fog and stuff. Too bad all the texture work wasn't quite on the same level or it would have been a very pretty game despite the orthagonal walls.
It also had a kickass soundtrack by Bobby Prince! I have all those midis and I still listen to lots of them. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

"Once in a while a programmer really writes something he's proud of, a slick, elegant, blazingly fast routine that stands as a benchmark against which other code will be judged by. However, this is not the case with TED's fill routine. This slow, stupid algorithm will casually fill one plane of data in a painfully creeping manner. Press ESC when it gets confused." - John Romero on TED (Tile EDitor)

Ya I should really mention this stuff on my Dreamcast DOOM page. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif
Anyhow, there is a update with better joypad configuration, as well as better mouse and scroll wheel support, you know where to get it.
P.S. A new version of nxDOOM is on its way, I just don't know how soon, but I can say that he dropped most of the old code, and started from scratch again, this way he can dump all the crap that got into the old code, and add actual working support for game saves, as well as some new and improved features.
