I said him... but yeah I guess sometime during his MIT Phd he found time to learn how to run, jump, shoot a variety of weapons with deadly accuracy, and all sorts of other things.

He must be a superhuman, he's got the brains and brawn and he doesn't look that bad (maybe if he didn't wear glasses)

Freeman learned all the guns and stuff from the Black Mesa hazard course. They make everyone who needs to use an HEV suit pass that course. Since Freeman had to use an HEV suit he had to be trained in the combat stuff (for no reason).

Alex Kidd. Mario is a slow bastard who has problems with staying alive in general. Plus Mario doesn't compete in Janken matches or get to ride the cool Scopaco Cycle. The coolest Mario game turned out to be a damn dream and was completely different from the Japanese counter-part (thanks Nintendo of America). Mario didn't have a Shinobi cross-over either.

Which brings use to Shinobi (Joe Musashi as he's named in a few of the games).
