Daikatana

I`ve never played it (yet) ,so whats the deal?

I`ve seen it going cheap in the stores near me but I know it had a lot of crap thrown at it in the reviews.
What does everyone think about it?

It's a great game that got a lot of BS thrown at it. It came out and was buggy and shortly after they released a 40MB patch. They shouldn't of released Daikatana before fixing the obvious bugs, the worst of which kept the player from being able to get to the final level. They pre-patch game also required you to find hard to get 'save gems' which kinda pissed people off. The anti-daikatana movement was kinda strange because even people who never played it, said it was complete crap, which is totally unfair.

I played Daikatan long after the patch came out so I didn't get tangled up in the bugs. I really enjoyed it a lot once I got playing it. It's worth getting just for the Greek episode because the level designs are so cool and the discus weapon is kick ass. I never played the MP end of it but they say it's pretty cool in deathmatch play.

I think Daikatana is like $12 dollars or something here in Canada. That's a steal for a very well made game..... patched of course. Its has 4 cool episodes, lots of secrets, good level designs and nice texture work and different weapons and monsters for each episode. I recommend getting it. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif
