Misunderstanding

I am sorry Phoebus, I am not talking about your site at all. I think you mis interpeting what I typed. I am talking about people on irc and such. And I would make a peaceful site. I have no harsh feelings on newdoom at all and am not leaving it or influncing anyone else to leaving it. I just wanted them to see my preference free port site. You didn't need to lock that thread because I never blamed newdoom for anything. I am a current developer here so I dont understand why you would be mad. I have done no wrong and am not talking about newdoom.com. The last post was completly irrelavent to www.newdoom.com (http://www.newdoom.com) in every way. And I was just sharing my website and what it is about with others. The "Flaming" that I was talking about was people getting on irc and telling me that all our development team sucks etc.. I felt like that was a bit hostile. So then rocket thought there should be a preference free site that as we (the moderators) have no personal opinon and try to stay completly choice free with the comunnity. So please dont lock this post because my last post must of been misinterpeted for I am not even talking about anything relevent to being flammed on www.newdoom.com (http://www.newdoom.com)

Sorry for any inconveinece and I am sorry you thought that I was speaking about that topic of newdoom when I was speaking of something else entirely.

The sounds about right.

The only port flaming that I ever see on Newdoom is when some new guy comes along (usually in the Legacy forum) and shoots his mouth off for no good reason. The Legacy guys are very good at self-moderating those guys though. They don't even have to lock stuff up and those guys usually bugger off (probably because 10 people tell them not to do that).

We don't tolerate it because we usually play a variety of ports. Anyone who flames any developement team for a project of any kind needs to disappear.

Exactly, NewDoom is very good at moderating there forums. I just want to create a site. No like a rival of newdoom.com, or anything, more of like a brother or sister site. I love this site, I like the administrators, the users, the whole community. Any flamming I have ever seen on the forums here was took care of smoothly by its moderators. I like the way the website and everything else is setup on newdoom. As I stated before, the post you read was misunderstood. For flamming is not a problem on here, as I stated above. But I am talking about other places, and other websites. I just want to create a hostile free zone on my website. Which I already can't seem to do. For I was misunderstood withing the first 8 posts or whatever. But the "flamming" part I was talking about was this person that was yelling at me on irc. I g2g. But I will check back with us guys later.

Like I said, if you want to make a site, about whatever you want it to be about, go for it, and more power to you. There really doesn't need to be much more said about it.
IRC is full of flamers, that's nothing new. That's part and parcel of getting in IRC, which is unfortunately for the most part a dredgehole where you have no choice but to deal with the nameless, faceless, shrouded punk kids on there; unlike, say ICQ, where you can pick your friends. They shouldn't make any difference in the development of Hexen Legacy, or any other port mod, whatsoever.
Anyway, I'm moving this over to the Showcase forum, where it belongs.
