Not that I don't appreciate the fact that W. Mull put this particular forum on Newdoom for those of us not hosted by him but what good is it? Nobody ever comes here.

I must agree, I always feel slightly sorry when news of someone's project etc, is moved to here. My recommendation would be to post info in the port specific forums, rather than the R+R one, because stuff rarely gets moved around in those.

Face.UK used to use this forum for adding news to the front page (so you wouldn't have to e-mail it). However I haven't seen a news post from him lately.

FACE is off on vacation for a bit.

If you really want ppl to check out your stuff you have to send in the news so it can be posted on the main page.

This forum would see more activity if more peopl used it on a reg basis.

You might think project stuff would get more feedback in R&R but really it doesn't from what I've seen. I've seen a lot of doom posts get burried in Rants with maybe 1 or 2 replies. Far better to have a spot like this methinks. Its also a new fairly new forum so maybe you guys need to give it a chance. If more non hosted ppl came in here to add thier news and site stuff it would be more interesting for others.

I have my own forum here and I post bits about my project in there and very few go in there and even less comment on what I post about my stuff...... but I don't find that to be a problem since any important stuff gets reported on the main page. That is where all the traffic is.

It's always a good idea to send the news in IMHO.

What good is this forum? If one or two ppl check out your site because they saw your post and thus ended up playing one of your maps then id say it was worth it.

Hope I did a good enough job standing in on the news while you were gone, buddy-FACE. And I'll continue to help post news as well. It seemed like you were gone a lot longer than you actually were.
This forum is VERY important, and it's for you to post about your site and activities.
It's best to have it in one specific place.
I know FACE checks it, and I usually do as well, which makes it a lot more likely to get posted on the main page than not.

PS - Brad_tilf, it's Phoebus not W. Mull or wmull or anyotherwise.
