Well today I set aside a whole day for JDoom editing to see what I could do, with the help of Kaiser teaching me just a little bit of scripting for right now (will continue after I get done posting here :P).

I figured I'd post here and show you guys what I'm able to do now :-D. Hehehe. Who knows maybe somewhere this map could go in Dark Nexus when it's done http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

Screenshot 1: The starting area of the map. Waterfalls and currents everywhere weee!

Screenshot 2: Kind of an wierd altar sort of area. A waterfall is caged around and is, uh, falling to show that is where the water is coming from :P

Screenshot 3: The area a little away from the underground cavern area, this area has the red door (not visible) and 4 Hellknights. Notice the starry sky ;D

Screenshot 4: Ah! Run! It's a dart!

Screenshot 5: A look back at the beginning from the otherside of the chasm. Kinda cool looking IMO

http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif Really nice looking! You know, it looks like it could evolve into a really good level...judging by these screenies...I think if you spend sometime on it you can make quite an enjoyable map...would love to see it in Dark Nexus http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

Keep up the good work, Darkmage....raises a glass of wine

LOoks really cool Melfice. I like that cracked earth ceiling texture and why does the water look so nifty? Is it the lighting?

I think part of it is JDoom's glow it makes with the water, and the other part is it's a D64 water texture mixed with the new palette http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/tongue.gif

Oh yeah JDoom's glow! I like the way JDoom does the Lava glowing stuph as well. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

Yeah. Just wait until you play this map though, something special happens in the water area at the end of the map http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif. See that blue door? The exit lies within, and once you get the blue key, well, heh, it's a suprise http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/tongue.gif

I like that jDoom is becoming more viable in the modding community.

Keep up the good work, Melfice.
