Work has resumed on WA, and there will be another release at some point. Head to www.doomworld.com (http://www.doomworld.com) for the info...

I can't think of much that needs changing in WA. Except maybe the ability to edit a linedef's flag bits. That would be handy.

There's a few bugs:

1. You can't use automatic texture alignment with custom textures, you have to change it to an original IWAD texture of the same size and then change it back.

2. If you select a load of two sided lines, and edit one property on side two, the other properties do not get blanked out (like what usually happens if you select one or more objects with different settings) so all the lines you selected will have the attributes of the one line you picked to edit. You can get round it by deleting the x/y offs, tags, sector number etc, before making the desired change... but still you forget sometimes and screw your lines up.

Reading back, the second point is really badly phrased. Sorry if it sounds completely incoherent :)

I hadn't noticed. Is that just with new custom texture entries? I usually just replace original ones.

I think I understand the second point. You mean when the linedefs have a different attributes and the value is left blank, right?

Congrats on the 800th post!

Thanks man (about the post).

Yeah, it's only with custom texture entries.

Yeah also to the second point, when the value is left blank. You must be smart, it seemed almost totally incoherent to me, the guy who wrote it :)

Woot! I'd like to see Wad Author actually view large textures/flats correctly.

One of the bigger bugs is that if you paste two chunks of map together it doesn't re-number the tags. The result is you have multiple things connected to the same sectors and everything goes kerflooie. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/tongue.gif

On the other hand, if a mapper is creating separate sections of a single map and merging them, and the same tag is used in the different sections, then automatically re-numbering them will also screw things up. I guess the best way would be for WA to pop a message up that asks if the user wants automatic re-numbering.

I probably only understood because I don't make sense to myself either. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm32.gif

Sometimes if you select multiple linedefs and change their textures, they will lose their sector values. That atleast happens in 1.3
