"Once in a while a programmer really writes something he's proud of, a slick, elegant, blazingly fast routine that stands as a benchmark against which other code will be judged by. However, this is not the case with TED's fill routine. This slow, stupid algorithm will casually fill one plane of data in a painfully creeping manner. Press ESC when it gets confused." - John Romero on TED (Tile EDitor)

Sweetness. Is this thing going to have something that really differentiates it from all other editors or is it designed to be a lot like some other editor?

Its going to use an actual doom render engine to allign textures in both GL and Software modes. hes implementing Scripting similar to why, only actually understandable and usable, and Itll have a built in script editor IDE with Full lump editing features and full sourceport support. Basically itll have everything that sets both Deepsea && why apart, and itll be able to use any existing editing interface or any you can conceive. It has a fully configurable, and as a result skinnable interface and support for expansion thru plugins. *huggles the MP3 player plugin* it also allows multitasking which means you can look at your map, edit your script, modify your patch, and check your lumps all at the same time, and thats only the start!!

er.. the Editor scripting and the Fragglescripting are both supported, but I should have made that more clear. Hopefully hell be able to implement ACS, too with advanced script decompiling I had something else that i forgot to mention, but I forgot what it was, and Iv been sitting here for about 20 minutes trying to remember, so Im just gonna Poat and thank gherkin for Choosing to release the editor under the GNU GPL.
