How is it that you use a resource wad with DeepSea? I have a wad which I have named C3RESOURCE.WAD, and I want to use the resources from it without having to actually import the textures/graphics/lumps into the map wad.

Just open the resource PWAD, the rest is automatic. Make sure you use the "Clear All Files" command (either menu or toolbar) to get rid of the resource when you want to revert back to the default DOOM values later.
You can "stack" multiple files this way, however, if there are duplicated entries, not a good idea, since it can confuse you.
Usually what one does is open multiple levels with different maps and then one resource PWAD.
