Ive always loved doom since the first time i played it when i was 7 when i was 9 i made a whole bunch of maps for it (mostly doom2) i used wadded. wadded was by far the EAZIEST map creator ever! i was at my grand parents looking on their computer when i noticed that they had my old doom maps on them. i was wondering... does anyone know where you can download wadded? and i would be happy to make some doom maps for this game http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm7.gif

I think WadEd is on my list of editors I never want to use again. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif

DeePsea is still a goooood editor, I just hate that little annoying pop-up, the limits, but other than that, its good. 7.9!

also, DeePsea is for 95/98/NT? I am using Windows XP: Home edition and works fine =) so, might as well add XP hehe

XP essentially = NT with more goodies.

You can turn the gay GUI off. I did. XP runs a lot nicer than NT though. It's easier to work with. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

Some things work better in XP and some things work worse. I don't get it.

There's more wizards in XP than a game of Warcraft.

I don't understand the issue people take with XP. First off, it can "look just like Win98" - extremely easy to do. Then if one likes, it can be customized to look like a "mac" http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

The wizard thing? There's only one I use regularly, but it's part of PowerArchiver (not XP). This helps me a lot, since I'd have to do all those steps anyway. Other than that, not much different in using XP vs Win2k (or even 98), except it's more game friendly and has a lot more features (if one wants to get into that part).

I have Win98, Win2k and XP systems - primarily for compatibility testing. My main work machine is XP. I had initial reservations about XP - ended up being the best OS ever from MS.

Yeah, although it would be nice if they did a decent job supporting apps that use DOS windows. They crash a lot. I still can't run CodeWarrior on XP.

It really is a nice OS. It eats RAM like crazy though. You pretty much need 256MB or it just lags like crazy.

Well I'm waiting for the x86-64 version of windows that AMD is also waiting for. I say its a close race between AMD and nvidia to see who can delay their product the most.
