I was goofin around with linedef types, and I was experimenting with type 250 (makes celings messed up) I eventually devised a way to make this work with 3d floors and now the top of the floor does it! COOL! But that ain't the thing. Ok, here's what I did:

I set a linedef to 250 and tagged it to dummy sector. The dummy sector has a linedef of 281 and thats tagged to 3d floor.

After this, everything was going great. But while experimenting I left something...

On the dummy sector, I had a linedef set at 250 tagged to nothing. So the dummy sector now has 2 types, and only one tagged.

With that untaged 250, I noticed that some of the celings in other sectors began to go scroll NORTH.

Using IDCLIP I noticed all of the dummy secotrs' celings are scrolling north.

Nothing in the first room cept for the 3d floor with the freaky celing I mentioned above is moving.

The door the 3d floor leads to is moving.

On the other side of the door is a 3d floor, the upper side of the floor is moving, but the actuall celing is not moving.

The two sectors to the left and right of this 3d floor are moving.

Those sectors have windows, the windows upper textures are NOT moving.

I really would like some input please. I am still experimenting. Go to my site to download Doomer.wad and see this freaky stuff yourself. And I am using hardware mode, dont know if GL does this.

**I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS WITHOUT CAUSING ALL THE CELING TO GO SCREWY, SO DON'T TELL ME HOW TO FIX IT. TELL ME WHY IT DOES THAT.**

So was this anything? I think it was a glitch. I got moving floors and celings that aren't tagged and have types of 0!

That's some weird shit. Ever tried that trick in Vanilla DooM (don't know if Legacy does this) where you make a switch linedef to raise or lower something and don't tag it to anything? If you push it all the floors and ceilings in the level raise and lower in an apparently random pattern. It totally screws up the level.

If you make a switch that lowers the cieling to a floor, then don't atach it to a sector, the game just lowers all the cielings it wants to the floor. Not tagging can lead to some wacky results.

Too bad 3d water can't do that.

Think you got what it takes?

You mean lower the surface of 3D water? You can do that easy.
