I know dehacked is a thing of the past in the eyes of many, but in case anyone knows, can someone please tell me how to remove the items off a human when they die? (I.E> Zombieman-Clip, Sergeant-Shotgun, Commando-Chaingun, SS Nazi-Clip) I ponder that it has to do with the code pointers, but I don't which code ponter controls that or gives that attribute...thanks in advance, guys (and/or girls)

Code pointers are assigned to frames, but the Trooper thing, for example drops a clip no matter the death frames used.
You can however, make it so the clip thing is a completely invisable thing that cannot be picked up. The player can still get bullets from the ammo box.
Or, you can take something like the candle thing and apply the Trooper atributes, and it will drop nothing when it is killed.
If you need an example I can send you one.

Hmm...exactly how would you mean to place the Trooper attributes to the candle thingy?
I'd go for that one better since I plan to replace all the human enemies for others and the replacements I have carry no weapons whatsoever...

Select the Trooper under things and write down all the information (hit points, speed, frame #s, sound #s, etc) then select the candle and enter those values you wrote down. If you still want to use the candle, or whatever you replace, just copy that thing's attributes to the Trooper.
I'd probably use something other than the candle now that I think about it, Legacy and other ports have coronae and lens flares added to the candles and torches. Unless you want your monsters to have light http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif

Legacy uses the sprite frames to determine what has light and what doesn't. So to make a blue light just steal a plasma ball frame and put it as the frame for a dead body or soemthing and voila. Instant blue floor light.

Thanks for clearing that up, I thought it was based on the thing. I'm thinking about doing an in-depth DeHackEd tutorial/FAQ.

yeah i like to turn obstacles i don't use into monsters
since i don't like keycards(i use skull keys) i usually do those first

I turned the plasma bullets into Imp fireballs. It's loads of fun to shoot those instead. Doom_Dude did some graphics to make the plasma rifle work better with it. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif
