Is there any way in which the titlescreen can be used in way slides are? Showing off screenshots of the level i've created?

you may be able to do that with a demo lmp file maybe, not sure how

I don't know how aesthetic this would be, but you could take screenshots of your levels, make them into textures, and make a "gallery" sort of level. Then you can record a lmp of the player looking at the pictures.

I don't know how well it would work, but it's an idea.

There should be another way, I way thinking about some nice "melting" transitions between these screenshots.

THAT WOULD BE extremely COOL!

Well if you really wanted to do it right you could always modify the Doom source.

You mean like doom2.exe hacking?

I think the .LMP idea would work great.

I've gotta try that with one of my levels!

But then again, I have a Mac, so I need to use Virtual PC if I'm going to import the screenshot textures into the WAD.

Now I just have to get Virtual PC and Windoze working! http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm24.gif Blecch!

You could probably get a real PC for Doom editing for what that software cost. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm4.gif

You've got to be kidding me! It's only $50 for crying out loud! I think _you_ need to get your facts straight before you start posting them. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm27.gif

$50, WTF? Its £183 in the UK.

Which would be enough to pick up a descent reconditioned PC for Doom editing.

Get your fact straight before calling my facts into question *grin*

I'd put that $50 towards a PC, there are a lot more editors and ports for PC. Doesn't Virtual PC hog your system resources anyway?

That is such a shame, I always feel sorry for folk with Macs. Nice machines but.. you know what I mean.

An easy way would be to just make a little animation file (.flm or something) using free software like autodesk animator and use a batch file to run it before loading doom.

Hey, I might just try this myself.
