I've been coding a new Doom editor (called Why) for a while now. It's a long way from being finished, but you can download a preview version here (http://www.hut.fi/~jpakkane/why/). (currently only a Linux version is available) That page also contains some additional info (although not very much).

To bad most of us still don't use Linux. I don't have time in my life for it unless my school switches over.

GNU/Linux is a nice platform, because you get a lot of nice stuff (from a programmers point of view) for free.
But no worries, once I get to beta phase, I'll do my best to port it to Windows.

I like Linix, too bad, most of the drivers for my gfx cards, sound cards etc, and the games especially Deepsea isn't compatible with it.....darn

Actually, there is a screenshot on the page (http://www.hut.fi/~jpakkane/why). It's quite big so I didn't post it here.
I have to add one (quite cool, methinks http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif) more feature to the editor, and then it is ready for beta release.
