Thats what happens when you use outdated software.

Yeah, got a copy of 1.0.8 off Mystic.
Works okay now.

Now that I think about it I remember having this same problem with version 1.0.8 of ZenNode. I was trying to build the 10 sector contest megawad and got the same error.

Maybe it ran out of memory?

Yep. Just tried it and it fails. With all three build algorithms. Should this be emailed to Marc or has someone found a way around it?

It works okay with Big Als wad and I have used it on all my own wad collection now without a glitch. Its fixed loads of opengl problems with my mummy phuquers wads (Im re-designing them all for a new TC/megawad thing)
You guys must have some strange or very big wads there. Maybe if you made the wads smaller. I have seen some single player wads which were absolutely massive, (Chris Lutz springs to mind). They could easily have been broken up to make a few smaller but still large levels.

I looked at the source of ZenNode and found a way to fix that problem. Then I rebuilt the nodes of 10sector.wad.

The result? Some sectors have holes in ceilings. Look here (http://www.hut.fi/~jpakkane/holes.jpg). The picture was taken in Legacy with opengl, software mode doesn't have these holes.

It's supposed to kill those damned holes, not make them http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm3.gif

I've been using 1.0.5 of ZenNode and it seems to work ok.

On rare occasions zennode misses some bits. The vertices causing the problem are probably on the 4 or 6 grid, just move them a tiny bit (1 grid) and the problem should go away. If you feel lazy send it to JIVE and he will be happy to fix it for you.

Like Doom dude Im surprised that you get the holes but I had a similar problem with some Mummy Phuquer levels.

Doom Dude, that version of zennode you are using is the one that refused to compile Big Als wad. Get the newest version.

Is using dated software a trend around here. If so I'm the uncoolest guy here.

Heh! I usually wait and see what people report about the latest version of a program's release, before even thinking about trying it. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm4.gif

Maybe it is a trend around here! Maybe you need to get with the program. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/tongue.gif
