I meant to try that out, but never got round to it. I not sure what it does yet. I'll see if I can find out.
[Edit] Ok, I won't be trying that again. I'm not sure if I did something wrong or not, but DooM crashed when I pressed the switch.

I don't understand the question. Do you want to know how the Donut sector thing works? The texture part of you query confused me.

In WadAuthor there is a tag called "donut plus sector texture" and we don't know what it does.

Well I don't use Wadauthor but I suspect that it has something to do with the Switch_Change_Donut trigger. That's what its called in DoomCad. Maybe it's something else?
It's called donut because, there are three sectors used: the center 'circle', the middle (donut) one, and the outer one. When the switch is activated, the donut's floor, which is lower than the outer sector's, is raised to match that outer sector, and once that is accomplished will switch it's floor texture to match that as well. All the while, the inside sector is -lowered- to match the other two, allowing access to the treasure lying atop.
Hope this helps.

Maybe that's why it crashed when I tried to use it. I created a new wad just to find out what it did. But I only used two sectors, which were the same height.
Thanks Doom_Dude.
Aliotroph?

To make it simple, it does that thing from E1M2 where you get the chainsaw. I always kind of thought this was useless except for a neat visual.

Your welcome. Let us know if you get it to work. I used the donut trigger in Vilecore, map 31: Bloodstone. For the life of me I can't remember what I put on the central pillar.....probably a key. Works swell, once you set it up right.

That's right Aliotroph?, it's in the map where you get the chainsaw. It's a usefull trick, because you can make a nice deep & wide trench/moat kinda deal and have a usefull item at the center.
