What's your fave editor?

What is your favorite editor? And maybe some reasons why. My favorite editor DeePsea
(DeeP97) because who can edit Ultimate DooM,DooM 2,Final DooM,Herectic,Hexen,Strife
zDoom,and Boom. It is also good at editing textures and sounds. You can test levels without having go and open your DooM or other program. It has a great help file. It allows 3d previews and walkthroughs. It comes with its own nodebuilder too. But there is a downside. It ain't free. It cost $35.

I use ZETH. Anything DEU-based, total control.
The way I build maps, these automatic editors do everything ass-backwards, plus lack of total control is not good to me anyhow.

I choose DEU-based anyday.

DeePsea -is- all about total control. Even more so than DEU http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Just think about how DEU/ZETH assigns sectors (after all those vertices are placed)? How do you control that?

Btw, isn't a "doom launcher" loosing total control over the game http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smile.gif) It's a very similar premise.

i'm using for graphics, sounds, lump, and others thing that i can creat and modified with wintex 4.4 and Dehacked for scripting things, weapons and frames. But for level i'm using WadAuthor 1.30 because is the most stable of all kind of map maker. I'm just hoping that Wad Author new release will be soon.
