View Full Version : Unused Entrys in a WAD -> How to delete?

How can I delete all the unused textures and floors in a huge wad?
Let's say I have a 2 MAPS which use the Textures called OGRE, DUMP and HELL and they use flats called STPID, LALA and BLA! But the wad has a lot more Textures like GDDGH, GDGS, GFDGSD, FDGSSGF, GDFGSD, dgfDSG, DFSGD,SDGGSD,gdsfDG, etc and a lot more Flats like RETTRZ, TERTE, FWEZET, TEWT, EGRWET, RETEZTD, TERT, RETEW, ETRWT ,TEWTE, sTEW, TREW, wert, etc! How can I automatically delete all the unused Flats and Textures ???

Well, deleting flats is easy, with Wintex just select and delete. Also with wintex, deleting textures is harder and pointless. Just delete the patches that make up the texture. If you did all this with wintex, now you have to copy all the entries and put them in a new wad (to make sure it's all nice and clean)

Doing all that stuff is a pain in the butt though, why exactly do you want to do this? Just to clear out the un-used stuff?

Well, Rellik, I think you haven't understood, what I mean! I don't want to delete them all on by hand! This is a huge work! And I'm busy with other stuff! How can I do this automatically? Let's say I choose the level and I choose the main wad, I start the programm and then, all the unused lumps are blown away! How can I do this?
