Yeah, but I was on his DooM forum and not his Apple II forum. I would go there but I've never owned one of those Apple II computers.
Truth is, he seems to be much more responsive to e-mails than forum topics and nobody knows it. There are poor guys on those forums who start topics to ask him something and never get a reply. When I e-mailed him though, he was really prompt about replying, answering all my questions, giving my password back and wishing my a happy birthday (and my birthday isn't half way through next month!
Now if only we could get him to judge that damn contest he never answered us about. Damn, I should make a wad and submit it to him. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif

Yeah, I had a dream last night that I was looking for her after I got off the bus near my mom's house. In my dream she had been on that bus route before so they namd it after her. What was weird was by the time I walked to a street corner it went from being late afternoon to being completely dark. I never did find her although I remember thinking she might be in my house. That was a lucid dream though so I think I was hoping to sort of project her into my house with my thoughts. I have no idea why either. It didn't happen though.

I had the craziest dream(s) in the world the other night!
It started with me being at a friend's to watch Voyager. Not too weird. Then the Voyager thing turned into something I was watching at home and it got blended with Ghostbusters. Then that became real life and I was there. I was standing outside the building and the Ghostbusters killed themselves with crazy guns. Then just before he died, Winston shot these crazy nuclear grenades into the basement of the building. Since I was standing right outside with some guy, we ran like crazy. Nothing blew up though. When we were walking down the street I realized I was dreaming and started to ramble on about it. Then I woke up.
I didn't stay awake long. I fell right back asleep and ended up in the convenience/gift shop connected with that building. Again I realized I was dreaming and started ranting. It didn't impress anybody. Then I saw some rather pretty woman with short blonde hair and went up behind her and put my arms around her. She didn't seem impressed and I woke up.
Well, I fell asleep once again. This time I was back in that store and the woman was back. This time she was all over me. The thing was, the area was contaminated and we all knew we had to stay there and get nuked (remember the grenades?). So we went into the lobby of that building and did all kinds of naked and very intimate things in a crowded room. We even travelled around it a bit. It didn't matter because we were going to die. I woke up shortly after.
Well, like all the other periods of wakefulness, that one lasted about 10 seconds. I went back to sleep and was back in that lobby. There was a large bar leading off the back so I went in there. That woman was there talking to some people and so was my brother. I went to some table and started to talk aimlessly to some people. We knew we were minutes from being vapourized but nobody was really scared.
Then I heard a load rumble and everything got bright really fast. I just had time to say "This is it." and think, "well, I'm this is what my death is like, wonder what it will feel like..." when the blast instantly hit us, everything was bright, and then I was gone. When it hit, there was a ZZZZWWWWWWIIIPPP!!! sound like a you can hear in a movie sometimes and I was instantly wide awake.
Ended up being one of the most vivid and weirdest sets of continusous and lucid dreams I've ever had. I even left out huge parts, mostly about my friends and Voyager, but also about false awakenings and some music. I can still remember all of it. Including the naughty bits! http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif
Funny thing is, that was just the last bunch of dreams I had that night. I had a bunch more earlier. Heh, I'm weird. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

LMAO That's bloody hilarious! Where exactly do you work anyway? And what did you guys fill it in with???
I had a dream last night about being in this weird place that was really atmospheric with the lighting. Sort of like Legacy. It had lots of haze and bright lights that looked rather like Legacy's lights. There was also lots of water and everything was all tech-like. It was like an Alien movie and I remember it having something to do with Winona like she was there or something. It was weird. Funny how today when I went to school the sky was a deep blue from the clouds and the yellow street lights and slick roads made it look like my dream.
I also had this dream that had something to do with me being in Star Wars. Those Star Wars dreams are kind of annoying because they're never very happy.

One time my friend was installing XP, but the installer started wierding out. He left because it was taking forever and took a nap. He woke up to the computers temperature alarm beeping it's little head off. He unplugged it and burnt his hands on the outer case. Using gloves he opened it. It was over 400 degrees inside the case and the fan had MELTED. I don't just mean melted, I mean slagged into a puddle of goo that covered his voodoo 4. That was one fucked up computer. The hard drive lived though, and amazingly the processor still worked. Sort of. It was really flakey.

Odd, the CPU usually melts first.
What ever happened to the link about computer destroying stories? There were those guys who accidently over-clocked a 486 to 247MHz and played Half-Life on it. Laster for about two minutes before the whole thing melted.
I destroyed that laptop after the fan died. It would shut off the cpu if it got too warm so I used an ice pack to cool the bottom of the computer. The condensation destroyed the entire thing.

I heard of this group who overclocked a 486 to 600 mhz. It had a liguid nitrogen cooling system. One day the cooling system gave up the ghost and the processor vaporized. I wish I could have seen that!

Yes it worked very well.
/me reaches into large open cavity in head and pulls out a duck, which begins quacking incessantly
CUT TO: Bill Gates sitting in his posh office.
BILL GATES: I wish I had a turkey.
CUT TO: /me holding the duck
GEORGE BUSH stumbles onto the stage from the right and bites the head off the duck. He then collapses through the floor and into a meat grinder.
The camera pulls back to reveal three cows turning the crank on the grinder. They are wearing bandanas over their faces, bandito style.
CUT TO: Bill Gates and his office
The ground meat falls on BILL GATES' lap.
BILL GATES: YAY! TURKEY!
A pie flies from stage left and strikes BILL GATES in the face

Its not the paper that is the problem, it's the DPI they use for printing (pretty low). The dots on the magazine paper are big enough to create interference patterns when scanned into the computer.

That's true too. But sometimes you can see the colours and the words from the other side of the page because the paper is shit.
