I've given up worrying about all the shit that's not going to go right so now I'm all good. I have to fill out this stupid problem that deals with moving Humans and Klingons back and forth between a planet and a moon on a shuttle, but the Humans can't outnumber the Klingons or there will be a fight. I have to find all the possibilities that are legal and you can only move up to two at a time. You can also only move the ones that are on the side with the spaceship. It's stupid and kind of boring. Oh yeah, there are two Humans and two Klingons.

Sorry about that. I just had to write it down to keep it in my head.

Played some DooM. Got back into swing of shooting things really fast and running like a terminator on drugs. Try playing with a really hight Field of View (FOV) if you want it to look trippy or a really low one for a scope effect. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

The Vilecore preset sounds neat, even if it does sound like a sewer pipe when you're outdoors.

I found a couple of bugs in Legacy's graphics (and I don't mean holes or splats). One is the lightswitch that turns off the lights. It's supposed to set them to the surrounding sector level, but it puts them to zero and it looks bad (try DooM II mapo4) and another is that ammo doesn't interact with the sky properly. Sometimes it hits the void and disappears (instead of flying into the distance and sometimes it hits the sky and explodes (really really bad).

When you use a lightswitch to turn off a light in DooM, it's supposed to set that sector's light to the level of the adjacent sector. In Legacy the light gets set to zero and that area is always darker than the surrounding sector (looks like some kind of negative light). It sucks. Try it on Map04 in DooM II.

There was this cartoon in the 80's called Inspector Gadget. Dr. Claw with the bad guy and you never saw his face. He ran a crime organization called MAD. He had the scariest voice. It's done mostly in the throat and it's really deep and raspy. Inspector Gadget was this police investigator with all kinds of gadgets in himself, his coat and his hat. He had extra hands, a helicopter, an umbrella, two telephones, extendable limbs, skis, a sail, roller skates, a laser, a universal key, a water gun, and about 1000 other things. They (and his genius neice Penny with her dog Brain) made up for his incredible lack of intelligence.

My texture battle ended just now. I had a brick texture from Doom II that I modified. I made a 2nd texture from the first. The stinking bricks didn't line up. I try to fix it and it looks perfect in Photo Studio. In the game it was off by a MUFFin hair. Ugh! My Zip drive is kaput. It started so that you could take files off but not put anything on a zip without my computer freezing (this is after it locked up on saving a file). I uninstalled all the Iomega stuff and did a reinstall and it acted the same. I was able to take all my files and put them on my computer for burning to CD. After each Zip was emptied my comp semi-froze but I was able to restart no prob. So I had to unload Zip then do a restart and keep doing that till I had my files safe.

This is the 2nd Zip drive I had go south. The first one locked up on deleting a file then it ate a Zip and then the armature /stylus / probe thing blew up and got caught inside the Zip Disc door. This Zip drive was replaced free of charge for this one (luckily). Both drives worked great for quite awhile and there's not many hours of useage on either of them. Suffice to say I HATE ZIPS. I will now burn my files to CD and fuck this Zip garbage. Besides its retarded to pay $15 dollars for a 100mb zip disk when a 750mb CD is like a dollar or something.

The only thing good about Zips, is that they're fast if you want to give a friend a file that's 30mb or whatever, in a hurry.....otherwise they suck. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm23.gif

I've never had problems like that. My best friend has had the same zip drive for six years. I have one I've had for a few years too. They're expensive to use and kinda slow but they seem okay. BTW: You can get CD's for $0.50 if you buy them in a big pack.

I dunno why my luck with Zip drives is so bad. My brother has 2 Zips that he uses and he's not had any problems. The only difference is mine are external drives, which shouldn't matter.

I was only guessing the price of CD's. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif I buy Sony 10 packs but the exact pricing I forget, but it's around 10 bucks or so. We also have a 15% sales tax here in N.S. which is a big pain. Anyhow a CD is much more stable and less pricy then a stupid zip. lol.

My brother has a 50 pack of CD's he bought. It was funny cause he burned porn on some of them and put them back in the thing where I found them.
