Oh boy. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif I changed a lot of the lighting. Now lights flicker instead of room chunks. I think theres a better variation now between well lit rooms and very dark rooms. Theres some new areas and a secret area change and a shitload of new textures. This doesn't explain it very well. Hehe.

I just ran through a map I started last year. Its just called 'Decayed' for now and has all new textures. It's this huge black and grey textured castle that I didn't finish. It looks really cool and I basically modeled some of the textures after the ruins of Shadar Logoth map in The Wheel Of Time. I wonder what I should do with this. DEU/DETH and Wadauthor do. Why (by Pate) does but I bet you won't want that. Give Wadauthor a try if you want to do that but you'll have to get a Legacy config file from someone (try Team DaiM).

I've lots of practise now in making textures. I made 18 in a row. The first 3 make up a doorway and I wanted 2 more sets of these so I made 9 more from the first 3 and just added some different coloring. So that was just a matter of duplicating what I already had and then doing some minor color changes. I made 3 doors and door #2 and #3 was duplicated from #1 and then changed to look a bit different. So I made this set of textures and not individual ones, which is really fast to do when you get on to it. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

I had a weird dream. I bought this bow and a a few arrows. I was in the bush shooting at this log and my arrow kept hitting the log backwards.... Guess it was a faulty bow. LOL.

Then I logged onto newdoom.com and somebody named 'the pickler' accidentally hacked the site and all the forum pages were just diff nedoom logos with blue backgrounds. Then I was in the same room with a guy I know online who turned out to be a cute chick. She posed online as a guy so nobody would flirt with her cause guys are foolish and drive her crazy in a bad way.

Then I was in combat armor having a sword fight with some amazon type girl warrior who was behind the newdoom hacking thing. It was a tough fight with a lot of leaping around like in those old karate films where the dudes excahnge blows in midair. LOL. I won the battle and was about to finish the bitch with my sword but I was mercifull and drove my blade into the ground and spared her. That's when I woke up. Weird huh.

I'm glad too, even if it was only to say Hi and she wanted to reassure me that she wasn't ignoring me. Things are going better but some new problems came up. For some reason something good happens to her then Boom something bad follows.

Yeah, I'm good with Dehacked but it won't run on any of my computers. It's a DOS app so it doesn't seem to like my win2k and winxp boxes. Al says it works in XP but it won't for me.

Hmmm, two skies in one map. Well, I don't think I've seen any port of DooM that had that feature yet. It's a good idea though. FS will let you switch to any level though and if you need extra maps to do that with you can use maps past 32. In fact you can potentially use hundreds of maps. Only problem is it might display a stats screen when you warp. Not sure. I'll have to check that.

FS can't dynamically change textures in a level at the moment though. It's a feature Hurdler and Pate aren't eager to write because it involves a heavy rewrite of a good part of the engine. Too bad too because it would make a lot of effects simpler. For example, I switch textures by using FS to move 3D floors around or hide them altogether.

Not really. My Winona dreams often end up showing me some weird and disturbing sides of my personality. I've only counted three romantic/sexual ones so far and even they were weird.

Recently I've had mostly Harry Potter dreams. Comes from reading the books really fast lately. Cute often shows up in those dreams and so do some of my friends form school. They're generally rather pleasant dreams since they always lack anything scary.

Yeah, she showed up in one for the first time last night. She was arguing with some other girl over something to do with some guy. We were all in the boiler room of my junior high school except it was partially converted to a rather dark classroom. I was sitting right next to her for the whole time were were in there.

Harry himself still hasn't made an appearance. I don't know whether I'm supposed to be him or not. Doesn't seem like it. And for some reason Professor McGonagall is always lurking around waiting to punish people. She even got me a couple times. Creepy.
