Just thought I'd pop in here and say hi, been a freakn long time since I've frequented this place. And I still haven't finished vilecore! Shame on me!! Think I was about half way through last I played it.

So how comes Vilecore Update/Vilecore II?

HI Finite! http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

It's been a long time indeed. Anyhow my Vilecore Upgrade is coming along great. This time around there's a ton of new textures (the latest count on the custom textures is 287 which includes new flats) , lots of xtra monsters to make it a bit tougher in the higher skill settings, especially in UV and I'm really doing a lot to the architecture with adding the details that were missing the first time around.

Not sure what I'm doing for Vilecore II yet. I might make it smaller than I first wanted. So it'll probably be around 9-12 maps instead of 32 and I might just call it something other than Vilecore II. Heh http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif

You never finished Vilecore? LOL, maybe you'll like the upgrade better. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/tongue.gif http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

Well I'll have to start the game again once it's released anyhow. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif But really, Vilecore is freakn awesome. I just have an awful tendancy to start games and... not ever finish them until a few years later.

I'm looking forward to the upgrade with great anticipation anyhow. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif And remember, if ya ever need file hosting again, I've now got to nice sites that allow external linking... hehe.

No no no. You misunderstood. We say pants. We say prettypants, fatpants, chairpants, cakepants. Pants is our word. And so is fat. It has nothing to do with phat. Fat as in lard. I see him. He sees me. "FAT!" We jab fingers at each other. "FAT FAT FAT!" "You're so fat you wear pants!"
We are.. er.. odd.

Yeah, they are hard to see. I don't like those games anyway but I'm not quite sure why. It like how some people hate DooM or Quake but like Heretic or something. Just not my thing I guess.

Sweet.

One of my uncles is a systems analyst. One day I tried to play Wolf3D on his computer only to find out he'd hacked it so I couldn't change the keys to a reasonable configuration. It sucked. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm3.gif

I like being able to make the controls suit me in a game, like having mouselook inverted in FPS's. It's a habit from when I played Mechwarrior 2.

Doom_Dude
April 7th, 2003, 06:57 AM
When I played Mechwarrior II I had to get used to the inverted mouse.... if my memory is right, you couldn't change it? It's been a long time since I played it so I don't really remember. That was a fun game but I tried Heavy Gear thinking it would be better and found it to be really lacking. I hated that you couldn't go inside buildings and the missions seemed very repetitive and the mission generator thing just gave you the same crap missions over and over.
